AIDS Taskforce elects new president and vice president Cleveland--A new president and vice president are sitting at the helm of the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Clevelands board of directors, the organization announced on October 20. After six years in the office of president, David Posteraro stepped down, and Karen Malone Wright was elected to succeed him. Wright was the president of the Open House, an HIV service and prevention group that merged into the Taskforce in 2002. Since then, she has been serving on the board of directors, most recently as vice president since 2004. She is also the head of Odyssey One Communications, a marketing and public relations firm. Taking her place as vice president is William Potoczak, a former president of the Cleveland LGBT Center and current partner is the accounting firm of Mills, Potoczak & Co. He has served as the board treasurer since 2000, and will retain that role in addition to assuming the mantle of vice president. Posteraro remains on the board in the position of immediate past president. One of the reasons I love having William as treasurer is that, as a CPA in a firm with a good reputation, he has been a godsend, said AIDS Taskforce executive director Earl Pike. The two of them together are the perfect combination to lead the board.
